Once again, this February, the Scottsdale Waterfront will host an exhibit of light-based contemporary art installations for the 5th Annual Canal Convergence Water+Art+Light.

Scottsdale Public Art will return from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26 lighting the canal from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. between Soleri Bridge and Goldwater Boulevard. There will be eight large-scale art installations installed along the canal this year.

“We continue to bring engaging art installations from light festivals around the world to Scottsdale for our community and visitors to enjoy,” said Scottsdale Public Art Director Donna Isaac.

Scottsdale Public Art will have educational activities and events, including live music and performances during the Canal Convergence. Scottsdale-based Two Brothers Brewing will also set up a beer and wine garden on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings of the event.

Scottsdale Public Art expects 50,000 people to attend the event, which is sponsored by SRP, the City of Scottsdale and Billie Jo and Judd Herberger.

There will also be a Conversation with the Artist lecture series, for folks who want to learn more about the artists of Canal Convergence at the Casablanca Roof Top Lounge at the Scottsdale Waterfront.

An exclusive VIP Preview Party on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Casablanca Roof Top Lounge will kick off the event. Tickets are available for $125 each at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Box Office in person, or online.
