Nearly 1,100 Bank of America associates in the metro Phoenix area will be spending time helping school children prepare for the coming school year at the Back to School Clothing Drive.

Volunteers will help in many areas, including as “personal shoppers” for the thousands of schoolchildren who will pass through Alhambra High School this week to receive free backpacks loaded with school supplies. Students also receive new sneakers, shorts, t-shirts, socks, underwear, hygiene products and more during the annual event.

During the 2013 Back to School Clothing Drive, BofA associates donated 2,700 hours. For the full year in Arizona, associates donated nearly 107,000 volunteer hours at projects across the state.

Wednesday is Bank of America Day at the Back to School Clothing Drive.

Between 300 and 350 BofA associates will be at the school every day from Tuesday through the end of the Drive, and more than 400 are expected to volunteer on Wednesday.
