Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia, located within the award-winning 7,100-acre Vistancia master plan community in Peoria, named Andreas Kappenhagen food and beverage director and Marissa Villalba assistant food and beverage manager of the 30,000-square-foot private country club.

Kappenhagen, a native of Germany, is a 26-year veteran of the food and beverage industry. He most recently served as assistant clubhouse manager at Paradise Valley Country Club and previously director of service at Sassi Ristorante in Scottsdale, food and beverage director at La Quinta Resort & Club, Miramonte Resort & Spa, and Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., as well as the director of restaurants and bars at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

Kappenhagen is responsible for the management and daily operations of the club’s dining offerings at Blackstone Country Club. He brings a participative and hands-on management style to the private club’s food and beverage team, with a keen focus on taking exceptional care of members.

Prior to her promotion, Villalba worked as Blackstone Country Club’s lead server and bartender for five years. In her new role, Villalba will assist Kappenhagen in the day-to-day operations including menu development, banquet management, catering weddings and special events, and developing club member relationships.
