The Scottsdale Charros are excited to announce that the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale has renamed their downtown Scottsdale location from the Paiute Branch to the Scottsdale Charros Branch. On May 24, the Boys and Girls Club held a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Charros and members of the Scottsdale City Council to publicly announce the name change.

“The naming of the branch to the Scottsdale Charros Branch is consistent with what the Charros are all about. Promoting Scottsdale, youth, students and the community,” said City of Scottsdale Mayor and Charros member Jim Lane.

The Charros are a non-profit organization based in Scottsdale that raises money to give back to the community through volunteer work, awarding scholarships and preserving Scottsdale’s western culture.

“Naming our branch after the Charros is quite fitting as their continuous investment in our clubs has been immensely important to our work of equipping all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens,” said Dr. Lisa Hurst chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

The Scottsdale Charros Branch is currently open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the summer.
