D+B (Davidson & Belluso), a full service advertising and digital agency, announced today that it has acquired Papagalos Strategic Communications, also a full-service advertising agency. The acquisition strengthens D+B’s expertise in its core market segments: economic development, education, healthcare, tourism, and homebuilding. It also provides D+B with the resources and capacity to expand into Papagalos’ niche markets, including outdoor recreation, commercial construction, financial, and technology.
D+B and Papagalos’ combined local and national client roster includes CVS/Health, the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, Tempe Tourism Office, the City of Phoenix Community & Economic Development, SunTek Window Films, Tutor Perini Building Corp., McMillan Group International, Targas, Rainier and the Walsh Group.
“Papagalos, like D+B, is focused on building brands and businesses. Together, we offer our clients a greater depth of experience and client services. It is also notable that both firms have been in business for over a decade. D+B recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary and Papagalos has been in business for over 20 years,” said Michela Belluso, managing partner of D+B.“The acquisition is a great start to 2015 for our clients and for our firm.”
Michela Belluso and Rob Davidson will remain as D+B’s principals. Nicholas Papagalos, president of Papagalos, will serve in an executive role and will focus on strategic planning for clients.
“This is a positive move for both of our firms. Combining forces is an opportunity to strategically expand our scope of services while providing seamless account management. As a mid-sized firm, we are able to offer personalized service by experienced professionals, including the principals, but with added capacity of a large agency,” said Nicholas Papagalos.
To ensure continuity, all of Papagalos’ employees were acquired by D+B, which now has 20 employees. The additional staff and diverse experience expands D+B’s full-service capabilities in brand development, digital and traditional advertising, web development, copywriting, public relations, and media buying.
