Gasoline prices at the pump around Arizona are lower for the third consecutive week.

Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is at $3.28 a gallon. That’s more than 3 cents lower than last week.

This week’s national average is at $3.35 per gallon, down by nearly 3 cents from the previous week.

Triple-A analysts say there’s “a very real possibility” that prices in parts of Arizona could be at or below $3 per gallon by year’s end.

Peoria has the lowest average gasoline price statewide at $3.19 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest at $3.54.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.08 a gallon with California having the highest at $3.82 a gallon.
