REDW LLC, one of the largest and most respected certified public accounting and business consulting firms in the Southwest with offices in Albuquerque and Phoenix, is pleased to announce that Inside Public Accounting (IPA) has named it the 115th largest U.S. Accounting firm in 2014, up from its ranking of 146 in 2013.

IPA released its annual 200 largest public accounting firms ranking on August 21, 2014. The rankings were compiled by net revenues, using data gathered by IPA’s survey and analysis of firms, which attracted a record number of participants, at more than 540 firms. “This prestigious group joins the IPA 100 as the definitive ranking of the nation’s largest public accounting firms,” says Kelly Platt, principal of The Platt Group, the publisher of IPA.

“Similar to their IPA 100 peers, the IPA 200 are also engaged in acquisitions to grow in size, scope and capability, with 21 mergers reported for the group last year, pulling more than 200 staff and more than $22 million into the aggregate numbers of the group,” says Kelly Platt. Additional information on the IPA 200 ranking is available on www.insidepublicaccounting.com.

“Recognition for our size is nice but we’re much more focused and excited about what our strategic growth of REDW during the last several years represents to our client and team members,” said Ron Rivera, Managing Principal of REDW. “A client that once only looked to us for primarily tax or audit services in Albuquerque can now utilize REDW in Phoenix and other markets for a wide range of additional services including valuation, forensic accounting, HR consulting, wealth management and even accounting software. Our strategic growth is also excellent for our talented staff as it provides greater stability and internal career growth opportunities, which only further benefit our clients.”

“Our clients view our growth as an expansion of the ways we can serve them,” said Sandy Abalos, Principal-in-Charge of the Phoenix office. “As our clients continue to grow and their needs expand and evolve, REDW has grown in concert to ensure that our capabilities and expertise continue to meet all their needs and exceed their expectations.”

Earlier in the year, Accounting Today announced that REDW was the fifth largest regional firm in the Southwestern U.S., and the fourth fastest growing firm nationally. In recent months, REDW was ranked the #2 accounting firm in Arizona by Who’s Who in Business in the category accounting firms with 29 or fewer CPAs.
