Anderson is focused on understanding how the immune response can be used to detect and alter cancer development. Anderson’s team identifies target tumor and viral proteins and pushes scientific understanding of the mechanisms of the immune regulation of cancer.
Greatest accomplishment: “ Inventing diagnostic assays for cancer and infectious diseases.”
Childhood aspiration: “I wanted to be a large-animal veterinarian, so I focused on science and medicine.”
