In a move almost unheard of in a traditional medical practice, MomDoc and all its sixteen offices scattered throughout the Valley, have eliminated their front desk in favor of something called, the Living Room Concept.

“The Living Room Concept is another example of our commitment to patient centered care,” notes Nick Goodman, CEO of MomDoc. “Earlier this year we were honored to be an early adopter through NCQA for Patient Centered Specialty Practice, the only OB/GYN in Arizona . This takes our dedication to patient care and comfort one step further.”

When patients enter a MomDoc office, they are greeted by an inviting living room with furnishings much like the typical living room. Comfortable seating, flat screen televisions and plenty of space welcome visitors. Medical Assistants sit with each patient to review their visit and escort them to an exam room. Co-pays are taken before the exam and attention to detail and comfort are paramount.

Sixteen offices around the Valley feature various themes including Broadway, Hollywood, Nature, Fine Art and Fashion. The lovely surroundings are meant to help patients feel comfortable, pampered and cared for by their provider. And it can ease some of the stress of seeing an OB/GYN. Patients love the relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful furnishing and comfort. Patients report that the living room concept speeds up appointments, waiting rooms are very comfortable, and especially with the televisions for little ones to watch and that the nod to personal attention is greatly appreciated.

The MomDoc umbrella of practices includes; Drs. Goodman and Partridge, OB/GYN in the valley for over thirty years; MomDoc Women for Women, a practice with all female providers; Healthy Pregnancy Perinatology, specializing in high risk pregnancy; Mi Doctora, a fully Spanish speaking women’s healthcare practice; MomDoc Midwives, where midwives provide excellent hospital based deliveries and SHE, Sexual Health Experts, the only practice of its kind in Arizona.
