Jamie Mayrose of Gordon & Rees was recently named to the board of the Phoenix Theatre.

“I’m thrilled to bring my love of the theater and my legal skills to the Board of Directors at Phoenix Theatre,” said Mayrose. “This organization is such an important part of the community, and I look forward to working with the outstanding board to support the expansion and continued success of this nonprofit.”

Jamie Mayrose is senior counsel in Gordon & Rees’ Phoenix office. As a member of the firm’s construction practice group, she represents design professionals, general contractors and subcontractors in all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit counseling, administrative hearings, arbitration, and trial. Mayrose’s construction experience includes breach of contract, delay and disruption claims, construction defects in both residential and commercial buildings, landlord/tenant disputes, and construction site injuries/deaths.

Mayrose also has significant experience in general commercial litigation and tort litigation, including legal malpractice and personal injury/wrongful death. She has successfully defended attorneys, architects and boards of directors in professional liability cases.

Mayrose is a member and committee member of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, a judge of high school speech and debate and mock trial tournaments, and a running buddy with Girls on the Run, a non-profit after-school program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. She is also involved with Arizona Wills for Heroes, a program that provides free estate planning legal services to first responder personnel in Arizona.

Mayrose has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Southwest Super Lawyers in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
