Jennings Haug & Cunningham L.L.P. announced that Julianne Wheeler joined the firm as a partner. Wheeler is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on commercial disputes with an emphasis on construction related matters.

Her trial and litigation experience includes complex business disputes, fidelity and surety law, construction law, administrative licensing and bid protests representing businesses ranging from national restaurant chains to child care facilities in state and federal courts. Wheeler also represents national and local contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in a wide range of construction related disputes, including disputes over technical specifications.

A former chair of the construction law section of the Arizona Bar Association and former member of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, Wheeler earned an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell, served as a faculty member of the Arizona Trial College, and is a judge pro tem with the Maricopa County Superior Court. Wheeler is an active member of the Arizona Builders Alliance, Construction Financial Management Association, the International Concrete Repair Institute and the Arizona Subcontractor’s Association.

In 1987, Wheeler earned her law degree from Arizona State University College of Law after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in political science from Arizona State University.  She lives in Tempe.
