McShane Construction Company announced that Edward P. Ledger has been appointed Vice President — Southwest Region in the Phoenix office.

Ledger possesses more than 20 years of experience within the construction and real estate markets throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

At McShane Construction, Ledger will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the firm’s operations in Phoenix and throughout the region. He will also be engaged in the development and acquisition of new business opportunities focused within the firm’s areas of expertise in the distribution, manufacturing, office, healthcare, multi-family, retail, hospitality and institutional markets

Prior to joining McShane Construction, Ledger was Vice President of Development and Construction for the Avenir Group, where he managed all development, design and construction phases for Avenir Group’s senior retirement communities in Arizona.

Ledger earned a B.S. in Construction from Arizona State University and is a Registered General Contractor, Certified Construction Inspector in both Arizona and Georgia, and is affiliated with the Association of Construction Inspectors and Construction Specifications Institute.
