Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation raised, with the help of the local community, $950,000 during the month of September for its first Go Gold campaign.

This amount includes cash and in-kind donations. The fundraiser kicked off on September 1 for National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Local businesses and the community joined this movement to support childhood cancer research through promotions and deals that enabled them to raise money for the cause that will go directly to the Hospital’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

“The outpouring of support we received during September’s Go Gold campaign was truly inspiring, with so many people in our community coming together to paint the town gold in honor of our patients fighting cancer,” says Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Steve Schnall. “It was an honor to work with so many individuals and companies who are helping Phoenix Children’s lead the fight in childhood cancer.”
