Pieceful Solutions, a K-12 school in Arizona for children with autism spectrum disorders, added more staff.

First they hired Abigail Muro as their Behavior Support Specialist.

In her new role, Muro will provide support and train the staff at the school’s three campuses in Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa. Muro will work with students to teach them coping skills in times of frustration, in addition to working with staff to incorporate positive behavioral supports in the classroom.

Previously, Muro worked as a Master Teacher at a private school accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services, where she developed and implemented Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students in grades K-8. She has experience developing highly-detailed weekly lesson plans and creating engaging materials and visuals to accompany lessons.

Muro received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Framingham State College in Massachusettes. She earned her master’s degree in special education from the University of Phoenix. She was named “Teacher of the Year” twice from ACCEL, and has served as a team captain and committee member for the Walk for Autism.

Pieceful Solutions also promoted Robin Taylor to Special Education Program Specialist.

Taylor has worked for Pieceful Solutions for more than two years as a 1st to 4th grade classroom teacher. She is an accomplished special education teacher and behavior analyst who has experience working with a diverse student population, including students with autism. She has a proven track record of improving students’ performance levels in both classroom and home environments.

In her new role, Taylor will provide education and curriculum support to the school’s three campuses in Chandler, Gilbert and Mesa. She will ensure Pieceful Solutions’ programs deliver research-based services and instruction. She also will observe, consult with, and assist staff in coordinating state learning standards and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals within the classroom.

Taylor received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Ohio State University. She earned a master’s degree in education, with a concentration in special education, from Loyola University Chicago.
