Kim Ryder, vice president real estate and commercial maintenance for Goodwill of Central Arizona, has been appointed State/Provincial Retail Chair of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the premier global trade association of the shopping center industry.

“I am honored and humbled to be appointed State Retail Chair,” said Ryder.

“Arizona is one of the country’s most active retail markets. With over 15 years of retail and real estate experience, I am anxious to contribute to ICSC and work together with our members.”

As State/Provincial Retail Chair, Ryder will serve as the voice of the retail community while monitoring regional activity and staying in close communication with the State/Provincial Director and the Divisional Retail Chair, regarding issues and trends uniquely important to the retail segment of the shopping center industry.

Ryder brings strong leadership and 15 years of experience in the retail and real estate industries to this appointment. In her role as vice president real estate and commercial maintenance for Goodwill of Central Arizona, she is responsible for real estate acquisitions, new construction, and the maintenance of more than 2.5 million square feet of retail, workforce and corporate facilities. She also oversees Goodwill’s Commercial Maintenance division, which under her leadership has grown from 3.68 million square feet of property maintenance services under contract in 2011, to more than 18.6 million in 2013.

Ryder has been an active member of the ICSC since 2006, serving on numerous committees and panels.
