Polsinelli has been in talks with senior leadership of the Intellectual Property firm, Novak Druce, about combining the two firm’s IP practices.

A group of Novak Druce’s intellectual property attorneys would join Polsinelli.

The merger will further build the firm’s nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice and meet the growing demand for post grant patent work. With this deal, Polsinelli’s IP practice would be among the country’s largest.

The firm intends to continue expanding its footprint nationally, adding new offices in Houston and Boston as part of this deal. Final numbers of lateral attorney moves and new office openings will be determined upon completion of the deal. Final discussions are ongoing.

“The expansion of our IP practice aligns with our strategic plan to be a leading national law firm focused on IP and IP Litigation as well as health care, financial services, real estate, corporate services for middle market clients, and business litigation,” said Polsinelli Chairman Russ Welsh. “We are extremely pleased to welcome this talented team of IP attorneys. They will significantly deepen our firm’s bench in all market segments for IP and IP litigation.”
