Arizona State University W.P. Carey School of Business Alumni Board will host the second annual W.P. Carey Talks Speaker Series at the Orpheum Theatre, April 9th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The alumni board, focused on promoting the W.P. Carey School of Business and engaging its alumni, brought together a unique group of speakers to inspire and inform the audience.

Each speaker will be sharing a personal story about their approach to success in today’s challenging business environment. It is an eclectic group, designed to provide the audience with different perspectives and fresh ideas.

Featured Speakers:

  • Bob Bowman, ASU Swim and Dive Coach – Coach of Michael Phelps as he gets ready for the 2016 Olympics.
  • Jonathan Cottrell, Chief Entrepreneur @Hopscratch & Citywide Connector @#yesphx, PHX Startup Week
  • Steven G. Seleznow, President & CEO, Arizona Community Foundation
  • Silvana Salcido Esparza, award winning Chef & Restaurateur, Barrio Café and Barrio Urbano

Last year over 300 alumni, students, business and community leaders, company owners and employees, and entrepreneurs attended the sold-out event.

“To accommodate a larger crowd this year, the event was moved off-campus to the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix,” said Anthony Valencia, president of the W.P. Carey Alumni Board, “We are excited to be reaching more people in the community.”
