The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) has elected six new members to its board of directors.

The new board members representing metro Phoenix are:  Mitchel Allen, vice president, business development, Greater Phoenix Economic Council;  Deirdre Gilmore, owner and president of TankGirl Marketing; Rob Millar, economic development manager for the City of Scottsdale; and Lori Quan, deputy director for the city of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department.

New board members representing rural Arizona are Wendy Bridges, economic development coordinator for the City of Prescott, and Vincent (Skip) Becker, president and CEO of La Paz Economic Development.  Bennett Bratley, economic development director, Mohave County, was reelected.

Each has been elected to serve a two-year term.

Appointed to one-year terms as advisory directors were: Caryn Gose, AZED Pro, senior project manager for Salt River Project; Richmond Vincent, vice president of workforce development for Goodwill of Central Arizona; Jim Rounds, president of Rounds Consulting Group, Inc.; Janice Kleinwort, director, economic affairs, Arizona State University; and Art McDonald, director of economic development for Tucson Electric Power/ IniSource Energy Services.

The new board members were approved at AAED’s general membership meeting held in conjunction with the organization’s spring conference in Tucson.
