Jones_Dustin_DCJON_CropHiResNational law firm Polsinelli has added Dustin Jones, a zoning and land use attorney who represents developers in obtaining land use permits in complex commercial real estate deals. Jones brings to the firm an unusual combination of academic knowledge and practical legal experience.

Jones serves as a full-time faculty member in Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning where he is a senior lecturer on zoning and complex land use issues. He was recently named Associate Director of Cornell University’s prestigious Baker Program in Real Estate, a two-year master’s degree program. Cornell University encourages its faculty to serve as “professors of practice” enabling Jones to serve client needs in private practice while continuing to teach at the university level.

“Polsinelli is nationally recognized for its zoning and land use accomplishments. The firm’s entrepreneurial spirit and emphasis on the importance of attorneys who understand their clients’ businesses attracted me to the firm,” said Jones. “I am excited to be part of the firm’s highly respected team.”

Jones will practice out of the New York and Phoenix offices and continue to work with Arizona developers and homebuilders while having access to New York’s epicenter of real estate financing. His work in the New York office will enable clients to continue to access the epicenter of real estate financing. The firm spans 19 offices across the country, and Law360 recently named the Real Estate Practice as “one of the Top 10 Real Estate Practices” based on number of partners.
