Chris Marchildon of CBRE was named 2016 Chairman for the NAIOP Arizona Developing Leaders. Marchildon, a senior associate in Capital Markets, has been a NAIOP member for 8 years.

“We have an exciting year ahead, and we look to build on the successes of previous years,” Marchildon said. “Our goals, as always, include improving the communities in which we develop, build and broker; impacting the careers of young commercial real estate professionals; imparting the knowledge, values, and expertise of today’s industry leaders; fostering long term relationships; and, most importantly, embracing the future of commercial real estate in Arizona.”

Developing Leaders’ events scheduled for 2016 include the award- winning Mentor Program, spring training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, a bowling outing, the signature Rookies & Rockstars evening, networking happy hours, volunteer opportunities with philanthropic partner St. Vincent de Paul, and the educational speaker series.

In addition to naming a new chairman, the group named new Steering Committee members: Jenny Aust-Turner, CBRE; Ted Liles, Cresa Phoenix; Emily Mead, GPEC; Cullen Mahoney, Trammell Crow Company; Megan Druding, Cushman & Wakefield; Liz Collins, JLL; Jack Czerwinski, Opus Group; John Paul Mulhern, Colliers International; and Byron Sarhangian, Snell & Wilmer.
