AC Hotels by MarriottMarriott International’s European-inspired lifestyle brand, will open AC Hotel Phoenix Tempe/Downtown next month, which will be the brand’s first hotel in the western United States.

AC Hotel Phoenix Tempe/Downtown will add style and sophistication to the vibrant city of Tempe and will be the first hotel to be located on Tempe Town Lake, a popular destination for recreational activities and annual special events. Its close proximity to Downtown Tempe, Arizona State University, Mill Avenue and the growing number of corporate parks on the shore of Tempe Town Lake makes it a convenient location for those visiting Tempe for work or for play.

“We’re looking forward to becoming part of the fabric of Tempe, a dynamic city with incredible art, entertainment and culinary offerings,” said Toni Stoeckl, Vice President of Marriott International’s Lifestyle Brands. “Our first AC Hotel location in the West is designed for those creative, well-traveled, entrepreneurial spirits who are constantly on the go and who appreciate the oasis of a well-designed hotel that allows them to welcome moments of tranquility, be present and connect with others.”

AC Hotels celebrates the beauty of classic modern designs with its European soul and Spanish roots. Born from the signature vision of renowned hotelier Antonio Catalan, the brand was founded in 1998 and grew to become one of the most well respected hotel brands in Spain. Following its success in Spain, Italy and Portugal, a joint venture was formed with Marriott International in 2011, which later launched AC Hotels by Marriott globally into France, Denmark and the U.S.

Based on a belief that purposeful design improves lives, AC Hotels relieves guests from what is unnecessary, providing thoughtful moments that elevate their stay and help them focus on what’s important. Guests receive only the items and service they need, without paying for those they don’t. The result is elegant, yet unpretentious style, innovative beverage and food offerings and meaningful experiences for guests and locals.
