Investment Property Associates LLC (IPA) and Retirement Community Specialists (RCS) announced construction is now underway on its senior living community, Generations at Ahwatukee.

The project, located at the southeast corner of Chandler Boulevard and 50th Street is targeted for completion by mid-summer 2017.

The community will include a total of 137 units, comprised of 97 independent/assisted living residences that include a selection of one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den and two-bedroom floor plans. The remaining 40 units consist of studios and one-bedroom models housed within an innovative, secure setting for memory care residents.

“Following the success of Generations at Agritopia which opened in July 2014, we are thrilled to bring our lifestyle of possibilities to seniors in the Ahwatukee community. In addition to the remarkable amenities our communities typically feature, Generations at Ahwatukee will include a pool, a sky deck and a marketplace where seniors can congregate with friends while enjoying a great meal and regular game of chess.” said Eric Johnston, partner at IPA and president of RCS.

In addition to spacious apartment homes, the entire community will be licensed to provide assisted living. A smaller community, adjacent to the main building, will provide quality memory care services under a directed care license.

The development will boast many of the luxurious amenities that IPA and RCS have become known for, including a spa, fitness center and a theater. It will also offer a number of hospitality services, including four dining venues, scheduled transportation, housekeeping, laundry services, a 24-hour emergency call system, and the first ever retail marketplace designed to offer seniors, and others from the local community, a place to socialize and enjoy quality bistro-style meals.

In addition to its onsite restaurant-style fare, a wine cellar-themed wine room and a tea room will be available for residents to enjoy wine pairing classes or high teas. A sky deck will feature beautiful mountain views for residents and their guests to enjoy.

Conveniently located adjacent to Liv Ahwatukee, a luxury multifamily community also owned and operated by IPA, residents at both Generations and Liv will be able to participate in intergenerational social activities that will include opportunities to participate in volunteer events together in the local community.

Generations at Ahwatukee will be the company’s second senior living development in Phoenix. Clark-Wayland of Scottsdale, Arizona, serves as the General Contractor. Architectural services are provided by Todd & Associates of Phoenix, Arizona.
