Liberty signs first tenants at Liberty Logistics Center II

Leases for the first two tenants at the 72-acre Phoenix industrial park, Liberty Logistics Center II, were recently signed, according to Liberty Property Trust.

Essendant Co. will take up 60 percent of the second building at the center that is planned to be completed this summer, in a pre-lease for 261,880 square feet of space at 1500 S. 71st Ave., Phoenix.

Basic Components Inc. will occupy 44,722 square feet at the logistics center’s first facility at 7205 W. Buckeye Rd., and will move in this spring.

Liberty Logistcs Center II is planned to have three buildings, with the first building, a 222,910-square-foot facility, finished. The second 437,105-square-foot building is under construction currently. Work on a third 280,280-square-foot building’s pad is also underway.

The second building is expected to be finished this summer after construction started late last year.

John DiVall, senior vice president and market officer for Liberty Property Trust, estimates the park will be completed within the next three years, at which point it will comprise approximately 1.5 million square feet of multi-tenant industrial space.

Don MacWilliam, Payson MacWilliam and Rob Martensen of Colliers International and Megan Creecy-Herman of Liberty will be responsible for leasing on the project. The architect for the building is Deutsch Architecture Group and the general contractor is Graycor Construction.

In addition, Essendant Co. was represented by Trevor Ragsdale, Bill Honsaker, Marc Hertzberg, and Tony Lydon of JLL while Basic Components, Inc. was represented by Don MacWilliam and Payson MacWilliam of Colliers International.
