Mortenson Construction announced Wednesday it has expanded its operations in the Washington, D.C. area with the addition of a new office in McLean, VA.

Mortenson has been serving the mission needs of the Federal Government across the United States for more than 30 years and currently has several projects underway in the Washington, D.C. area.

“The expansion of our operations in Washington, D.C. supports our commitment to serve the mission needs of the Federal Government across the United States,” said Tom Gunkel, CEO, Mortenson Construction. “We have a long-standing and successful history with Washington D.C.-based federal customers and this office presents an exciting opportunity for us expand those relationships and continue our strategic growth.”

Located at 8280 Greensboro Dr., Suite 250, in McLean, the new office will be led by construction executive Brad Hunley. As an industry veteran, Hunley is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and is currently serving as president of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), Mid-Atlantic Region Board of Directors.

Mortenson is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and now has 11 offices across the U.S., one of which is in Phoenix.
