Jokake Construction Services announced that long-time employee Roz Lipsey has been promoted to CEO of the construction services company. Casey Cartier has been named president of Jokake Construction.

As Jokake Construction Services CEO, Lipsey will execute Jokake’s long-term vision for growth. Her focus is on developing new vertical interests that reinforce Jokake’s commitment to bringing solutions to building and facilities owners.

Lipsey started her career at Jokake in 1998 as a project manager for the real estate development arm of the business. In 2005, she ascended to construction president, growing the company in size and profitability, diversifying into new market sectors and transitioning ownership from its founders to the employees through a 100% ESOP purchase in 2008.

Lipsey received her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Allegheny College and an MBA Degree from Kent State University. She is a founder of the Advancing Women in Construction Program for the ASU Del E. Webb School of Construction and is involved in many professional and civic organizations.

Under Lipsey’s leadership, Jokake receive numerous awards, including “TI Contractor of the Year” and “Top General Contractor,” from Ranking Arizona magazine.

Cartier most recently served as division manager for Ryan Companies US, Inc., and has worked in the Greater Phoenix area for 16 years. Since 2005, he has led one of two construction divisions for Ryan’s Southwest Regional Office.

Cartier was instrumental in securing the first leaseback government contract as well as implemented new virtual design and construction technology as a part of Ryan’s standard operating procedure. Cartier has continually led successful teams in delivering LEED certified projects. In his role as construction company president, Cartier will oversee Jokake’s extensive integrated construction operations. He will also manage the southwest regional construction divisions.

Voted “Top 20 under 40 Construction Leaders,” by ENR Southwest Magazine, Cartier was also named ASA Superintendent of the Year and was selected from a group of community leaders to complete the FBI Citizen’s Academy in 2011. Cartier received a duel degree of Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and business management at Northern Arizona University with a minor in food and nutrition science.
