Casey Cartier Low ResJokake Construction, a full-service general contractor, has promoted Casey Cartier to President and CEO. Cartier has served as the company’s president since October 2012 and will now be adding CEO to his title, allowing for greater flexibility and responsiveness to opportunities that align with Jokake’s strategic growth plan. Jokake, an employee-owned construction company, has been in the Valley for more than 30 years.

In his evolving role as both president and CEO, Cartier will oversee Jokake’s extensive integrated construction operations. He will also manage the southwest regional construction divisions and has overall responsibility for corporate operations. Adding the CEO responsibilities allows Cartier to take on the community and Arizona marketplace involvement that Roz Lipsey (the former CEO) previously oversaw. Lipsey will remain on the Jokake Board.

“Casey has positively impacted almost every aspect of our company. He’s brought greater discipline and oversight to our operations, transformed our hiring practices, added some great talent to our team, questioned the status quo on things from billing rates to interviewing, and implemented a completely different business development process in securing work and building relationships,” said Lipsey.” As a result, we are approaching one of Jokake’s strongest performing years and enjoying a great reputation in the marketplace.”

Cartier said he is looking forward to continuing to grow with Jokake Construction.

“If it were not for the effort, talent and tenacity of Jokake’s employees, we would not be poised to do such great things in years to come,” Cartier said. “I’m very fortunate to be leading such a great group of people.”

Before working with Jokake, Cartier most recently served as division manager for Ryan Companies US, Inc., and has worked in the greater Phoenix area for 16 years. Since 2005, he has led one of two construction divisions for Ryan’s Southwest Regional Office. Voted “Top 20 under 40 Construction Leaders,” by ENR Southwest Magazine, Cartier was also named ASA Superintendent of the Year and was selected from a group of community leaders to complete the FBI Citizen’s Academy in 2011. Cartier holds a dual bachelor’s of science degree in biochemistry and business management from Northern Arizona University.
