The Opus Group (Opus) announced Wednesday that Dustin Slack joined Opus Development Company L.L.C. as vice president, real estate development. In his new role, Slack will be responsible for sourcing new development opportunities.

“Dustin is a seasoned real estate developer who brings incredible value to our team,” said Larry Pobuda, senior vice president and general manager, Opus Development Company L.L.C. “His background allows him to pursue a wide spectrum of development opportunities, and he is a welcome addition as we continue to grow our portfolio of projects in the Phoenix market and across the region.”

Slack brings more than two decades of experience in real estate development and architecture to Opus, most recently as vice president, multifamily with Forestar Group where he was responsible for the pursuit, acquisition and development of multifamily sites.

Slack’s professional experience also includes time with McShane Development Company and Trammell Crow Residential, GFF Architects (formerly Good Fulton & Farrell Architects) and Womack + Hampton Multifamily Architects.

Slack graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council and Urban Land Institute.
