The Valley Partnership monthly breakfast for July 29 will host a panel that will discuss the evolution of master planned communities. Historically, master planned communities have played a significant role in Arizona real estate. However, in a post-recession world, what is the role of master planned communities in Arizona’s development landscape?
The panel will feature Tim Brislin, vice president, Harvard Investments; Priscilla Storm, vice president, Diamond Ventures; and Sean Walters, COO, Sunbelt Holdings. Moderating the panel will be Jim Belfiore, President, Belfiore Real Estate Consulting.
“Developers are rising to the challenge and creating master planned communities that are meeting the demands of the next generation of home buyers,” said Cheryl Lombard, CEO and president of Valley Partnership.
Lombard points to the post-recession migration of populations back to city centers and more urban environments as some of the challenges the historically suburban developments face.
“The developers of master planned communities are acutely aware of what the residents they seek want in a community; they recognize the shift towards urban, live/work/play environments, and they are coming up with unique ways to address the challenges they face,” Lombard said. “I’m excited to bring this discussion and analysis to our July breakfast and our membership.”
