Whether you're a savvy homeowner looking to create a more sustainable home, or a business owner looking to create a greener space for employees — the Southwest Build-It-Green Expo & Conference has something for everyone.
Conference attendees will find a variety of educational material covering all aspects of the "green" industry. Prominent voices of the industry on both a local and nationwide level come together to share their insight and knowledge of an environmental-friendly future.
The green movement is not a novice idea. States like California, Colorado, and New Mexico are all ranked among some of the top spots for "green" state lists. Arizona is quickly rising up the ranks as well, and the Southwest Build-It-Green Expo & Conference will further drive the sustainability movement to success.
Representatives from both Scottsdale and Phoenix will speak about the cities' efforts to be more green. The government perspective and regulatory process of accelerating green building standards, LEED professional accreditation, green ROI, and energy storage will also be discussed. Valley Forward will continue to further their mission of improving the environment and livability of Valley communities, with a presentation on how we can all contribute to an efficient sustainable solution.
ASU's pioneering School of Sustainability lends its voice with several distinguished professors that are all seasoned professionals in the industry, with presentations on various topics including LEED alternatives and urban forest sustainability.
Other topics covered within the green conference focus on saving money with solar, designing and building a green home and more. High profile companies including APS, SRP, Green Ideas and SmithGroup will also be at the conference speaking on various topics on lighting design, sustainable energy solutions and environmental impact.
Prominent voices from the residential community will be represented as well. For the environmentally conscious homeowner, xeriscape landscaping and practical tips for watering will be discussed. Eco-friendly appliances, water conservation, solar energy, and a number of other topics are included in the program.
