9/6: 5th Annual Brazilian Day Festival 

Step out of Arizona and into Brazil for an afternoon of food, dancing and drinks to celebrate Brazilian Independence Day. The event will feature live Brazilian music, dance, performers and authentic food and drink as part of the 5th annual festival to celebrate the South American culture in Arizona.

9/6: 9/11 Heroes Run Tempe

Heroes Run events take place all over the world on or near 9/11 to commemorate the tragedy and honor those who died and show support for their families and those who volunteered their help in the aftermath. The 5k is open to all ages for those who want to participate in the fun run/walk.

9/6-9/7: Experience Italy at the Musical Instrument Museum

The MIM is celebrating all things Italian with a two-day event beginning Saturday. With everything from an Italian-inspired menu at Café Allegro to musical performances to learning about Italian artwork and crafting sessions, the MIM is offering the Italian experience included with general admission prices for this weekend only.

The internationally ignored song stylist Neil Patrick Harris recently revived will get the local treatment this weekend. Legendary local drag phenoms such as Pandora DeStrange, Tracy Payne Black, Terre Steed and a merry band of local artists who will help bring this cult sensation of musical theater to life on the Crescent Ballroom stage.
