Some shudder at the thought of white apparel, but I’m here to tell you that there is nothing to fear. Not only is white the most perfect color to keep you cool during the hot Arizona summer, it’s flattering and versatile. I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to fashions in white. And whether you prefer a dress, shorts, or a jumpsuit – this summer, white is it. And that “No White after Labor Day” rule? So passé. You can wear this color year round.

look one There is nothing easier than throwing on shorts and a girlie shirt. What I love about this combo from CALYPSO St. Barth is that the pieces are great together while easily standing on their own. White denim shorts will soon become your summer staple and that easy-breezy-gauzy top? Pair with your favorite black slim pants and a black tank for fall – this summertime piece just transitioned you into next season.
look two Well, hello sexy! This one-shoulder ruched dress from Ruby Boutique is the perfect piece to bring with you on your next beach vacation. You can wear it during the day by throwing on a pair of metallic gladiator sandals and simple jewelry, like the necklace shown here, but this piece works for nighttime as well. I’d recommend a pair of cork wedges and statement earrings – done and done.
look three This look from H & M is definitely for the fashion risk-takers. We saw sweatshirts explode on the runways a couple of seasons ago and there are no signs for a slow-down. Designers have kicked things up a notch by including catchy slogans and phrases, like the one shown here. Keep this masculine piece feminine by pairing it with a flouncy skater skirt like the one shown here, but for daytime, I’d wear a pair of black Converse to keep it interesting.
look three I’m a true sucker for a simple tank dress and this little number from GAP does not disappoint. There’s nothing better than putting on a single item and being ready to head out the door. Here, the store has paired the dress with leather wedges, but it can definitely work with flat sandals too. I’m loving the metallic slides that were all over the spring 2014 runways – think Birkenstocks gone rose gold and in a more feminine shape.
