Brookfield Communities, a master-plan developer of two Arizona active adult communities, has relocated to a larger Phoenix office, added staff and plans for large real estate projects in 2013.

Led by successful real estate veterans Phil Petersen and Dan Green, Brookfield Communities has two active adult communities in Arizona – Fox Creek in Bullhead City and Verde Santa Fe in the Verde Valley near Sedona.

“The time is right for us to expand and add to our already successful communities,” said Petersen, a long-time Arizona developer. “We are beginning to get aggressive again.

“With the resurgence of the Arizona housing marketing, 2013 is going to be a good year for Brookfield Communities. We foresee expansion and great sales in the coming year and heading into 2014-2015,” Petersen said.

Brookfield Communities’ new corporate headquarters is at 3550 N. Central Ave., #1001 in Phoenix. The larger, more expansive space allows the company to continue to add staff to manage planned activities.

Unlike many residential developers who folded during the past five years, Brookfield Communities continued to grow and remain profitable.

Brookfield’s Fox Creek is the most successful residential development along the Colorado River and in the Bullhead City region. Petersen has plans for aggressive development in both Fox Creek and Verde Santa Fe beginning in 2013. Several project announcements will be made in January, Petersen said.
