Dierks Bentley made a special surprise appearance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Scottsdale on Sunday, July 21. He surprised fans with a live performance before traveling to Prescott Valley where he was scheduled to host the sold-out “Country Cares Concert” to raise money for the families of the 19 Granite Mountain HotShot fire crew members who died earlier this month while battling the Yarnell Hill Wildfire.

Bentley, who organized the concert, was one of four artists including The Band Perry, David Nail and Randy Houser who performed at Tim’s Toyota Center. The “Country Cares Concert” raised over $400,000 for families of the Yarnell Hill HotShot crew. All proceeds will go to the United Phoenix Firefighters Association, which will distribute the funds directly to the families of the fallen firefighters. Approximately 6,000 people attended the sold-out Monday night show.

Whiskey Row showed its support by taking its entire staff to the benefit concert and making a $25,000 donation by purchasing a guitar auctioned at the event. The guitar will be put on display at Whiskey Row as a memorial.

“It was great to have Dierks make an appearance at Whiskey Row and draw more attention to the benefit concert,” said Ryan Hibbert, owner of Riot Hospitality Group (RHG), the management company that operates Whiskey Row. “Everyone at Whiskey Row felt it was important that we take part in what Dierks was doing for the families of the 19 brave men killed battling the Yarnell Hill Wildfire. Having the guitar displayed in Whiskey Row will be a permanent tribute to them.”

Sunday marked the first time Bentley has had an opportunity to visit the bar to experience the finished product since it opened on July 4. While there, Dierks mingled with guests and enjoyed items from the delicious one-of-a-kind menu as well as some refreshing samples from Whiskey Row’s selection of adult beverages.
