Mark and Lauren TeahenMajor League Baseball players are trading their bats for golf clubs this November and swinging for a cause. Mark and Lauren Teahen will host the second annual Driving Out Domestic Violence Celebrity Golf Invitational, presented by Homeowners Financial Group, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Chrysalis, a local domestic violence nonprofit that provides crisis shelter, transitional housing, outpatient counseling, offender treatment, victim advocacy and lay-legal support.

Before the golf tournament, however, an exclusive All Star Evening will take place on November 8 at Monterra at Westworld. It’s bound to be a special night under the stars, complete with tasting stations of local cuisine and signature cocktails, as well as live music.

The next day, on Friday, November 9 at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, the celebrity golf invitation will begin with a high-noonAll Star Evening 2011 shotgun start. In addition to Teahen, other confirmed celebrity attendees include Ryan Zimmerman, also of the Washington Nationals, J.J. Putz and Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Paul Konerko of the Chicago White Sox, Billy Butler of the Kansas City Royals, Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants, PGA Player Aaron Baddeley, and more.

For those interested in helping the Teahens bat against domestic violence, participation in the Celebrity Golf Invitational is $375 and includes admission to the All Star Evening as well as a reception that follows the day of golf.
