The Food Truck Caravan, which is held every Saturday night from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. on the NW corner of 5th Ave. and Goldwater in Scottsdale, has announced its August schedule of events and Caravan Concert Series, produced by Rock-it Productions.

Saturday, August 3: “Opposites Attract” featuring music by Van & Melanie who play Valley favorites. The trucks will serve a special “Ate on 5th” dish that pairs opposites like chocolate and jalapeno’s.

Featured Trucks: Gourmet Command Center, Grilled Cheese Truck, Sandra Dee’s, The Great Pho King Truck, Q-Up Barbeque, Smitty’s Kitchen, Super Farm Super Truck, Torched Goodness and Udder Delights. 

Saturday, August 10: “Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot” featuring Valley Fever, a high-energy band. The trucks will serve a special “Ate on 5th” dish with a kick.

Featured Trucks: Aji Mobile Foods, Chars Kitchen, Grilled Cheese Truck, Luncha Libre, Q-Up Barbeque, Super Farm Super Truck, Sweet Magnolia, Traveling Monk, Brat Haus, Torched Goodness and Udder Delights.

Saturday, August 17: “Food infused with Liquor” to celebrate our first-ever Caravan Cocktail Challenge. The trucks will serve a special “Ate on 5th” dish that is infused with alcohol. Think beer battered fish and bourbon infused barbeque sauce.

Individuals are invited to submit their favorite cocktail recipe in advance through the Caravan Facebook page. Then, on August 17, well-known mixologists from local restaurants will judge the competition. Thea Sommers of The Herb Box, Samantha Rogers from The Valley Ho Resort and very special guest judge will sample the top 5 cocktails created by Caravan followers beginning at 9:30 p.m. Judging will take place at EVO, and the winner will be announced at 10:30 p.m. The winning cocktail will earn a spot on EVO’s menu during the month of September.

Saturday, August 24: “Slow & Steady” like the summer. Think jerk chicken & chicken gumbo for the trucks “Ate on 5th” special.

Featured Trucks: Grilled Cheese Truck, Jamburritos, Liberty Biscuits, Moto Bowl, The Great Pho King Truck, Q-up Barbeque, Smitty’s Kitchen, Super Farm Super Truck, Brat Haus, Torched Goodness and Udder Delights.

Saturday, August 31: “Labor of Love” – The food trucks will create something in honor of Labor Day weekend. Think sliders, burgers, hotdogs and catfish sandwiches. Van & Melanie who play Valley favorites will perform.

Featured Trucks: Hey Joe, JG Superwenie, Luncha Libre, Rightway, Sandra Dee’s, Satay Hut, Super Farm Super Truck, Udder Delights and AZ-Sno Shack. 

Each week, the Food Truck Caravan rolls into downtown Scottsdale and provides guests will the best street food, a comfortable setting with a state-of-the-art misting system, local music and artists. The “Ate on 5th program allows guests to receive discounts to participating area merchants, restaurants and bars by purchasing food from one of the food trucks.
