There has never been a better time to show gratitude and thank our Scottsdale firefighters for the sacrifice and service they make every day. Plan to join our Valley’s heroes for a memorable evening at the 2013 Scottsdale Firefighters Charities Dinner held at Dominick’s Steakhouse on Sunday, September 29, 2013.

The annual dinner is a chance for Scottsdale to honor the firefighter of the year, our men and women firefighters and raise money for local charities. The evening will start with cocktails and 5 p.m. and the program and dinner service will begin at 6 p.m. It will be held in the rooftop poolside dining room at Dominick’s Steakhouse, located at 15169 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

Those in attendance will include Scottsdale Firefighters, Scottsdale Police Chief Alan Rodbell, Scottsdale city leaders and Valley residents.

Keynote speakers include Arizona State University Alumnus and national wrestling champion Anthony Robles and Real Estate Entrepreneur Michael Pollack. Like the firefighters of Scottsdale, both keynote speakers have had positive impact within the community.

Anthony Robles took home the 2011 title of national NCAA wrestling champion in his 125-pound weight class. Robles managed to do this with a permanent disability; he was born with no right leg. Amidst the terrible odds, Robles became one of the most successful ASU athletes of all time. Robles is now speaking across the globe aspiring others to beat the odds and achieve the impossible.

Real Estate Entrepreneur Michael Pollack began his successful real estate career more than 40 years ago. As President and Founder of Michael A. Pollack Real Estate Investments, Pollack has redeveloped more than 10 million square feet of commercial and multifamily space. As one of Arizona’s largest privately held shopping center owners and operators, Michael’s desire to build pride back into run down communities is a catalyst for many of his real estate ventures. Just as important Pollack takes as great of pride in his work with dozens of Valley charities including Save the Family, the Boys and Girls Club of America, Goodwill of Central Arizona and numerous Valley schools.

Through your donation, the Scottsdale Firefighter Charities can provide assistance to organizations such as: MDA, Boys and Girls Club, American Cancer Society, Toys for Tots and Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day Walk.

“It is very important to take the time to appreciate the sacrifices firefighters give every day. We hope to celebrate the stories of heroism as well as spread awareness of the charities we support,” said Chad Masciotra, Charities Director of Local 3878. “This will be a night of remembrance and honor as we give back to the community.”
