RE/MAX Professionals take pride in community involvement as they embark on their second year as a top-tier contributor to a local nonprofit.

Recently RE/MAX real estate agents donated Easter gift baskets to the H.O.P.E. Team, which provides support and resources for patients undergoing treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center.

“There’s certainly a need for donations throughout the year, but this is the time of year there’s no major holiday tied to giving and charities can be overlooked,” said Frank Russo, Co-Owner of RE/MAX Professionals.

“Our agents live and work in the area and know the importance of supporting their fellow neighbors year-round.”

RE/MAX Professionals donated a variety of Easter baskets for the auction, including gift cards, date-night goodies, movie-night necessities and family-fun activities.

The H.O.P.E. Team has monthly in-house fundraisers and the baskets provided more than $2,100, the most raised in any single in-house monthly fundraiser of the same to date.

Shannon Wellman, a RE/MAX Professionals agent and active volunteer with the H.O.P.E. Team, along with Roxanne Scott, Manager at RE/MAX Professionals, spearheaded the partnership knowing the impact it would have with the patients.

“I’ve volunteered with the H.O.P.E. Team for more than three years now,” Wellman said. “It’s critical to keep the awareness alive. The H.O.P.E Team depends on donations from local community members and that includes us.”

The H.O.P.E. Team is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to bring Help, Optimism, Peace and Encouragement to cancer patients and their families.

The H.O.P.E. Team was created to support the patients at Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
