Oct. 17: Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks

An Arizona Cardinals football game, can appeal to a large spectrum of people from a die-hard fan or a family who is looking for an activity they can all enjoy together. This week the Cardinals host the Seattle Seahawks who are currently first in the NFC West. Even if your aren’t a football fanatic you will still enjoy the electric atmosphere. Before the game even starts, you can stop by The Great Lawn, which goes on for over 1,000 feet, where you will find Cardinals setting up their tailgates so they can get into game mode!

Oct. 17-20: The Great Pumpkin Festival

For four days, the Desert Botanical Garden will be home to the Great Pumpkin Festival. Guests will be able to participate in various fall-themed activities. Guests will be able to take a hayride out the the pumpkin patch, explore a hay bale maze, play some carnival games and admire all the animals at the petting zoo. The Great Pumpkin Festival is just the cost of admission to the garden and is free for children and members. Guests 12 and under also get a free pumpkin when they stop by the festival.

October 19: Taste of Chandler

On Saturday you can enjoy craft beers, fine wines, spirits and gourmet food selections from more than 40 East Valley Restaurants at TASTE, Chandler’s Culinary Festival. TASTE is all about being local; it features various local business and restaurants and is benefiting local charities. Attendees will have access to unlimited samples from the restaurants while supplies last. Tickets are required for this event, but they come with 12 drink tickets.

Oct.19: Scottsdale Showdown

This isn’t your average bull riding event. The Scottsdale Showdown is an all-star event where 20 of the best bull riders will hop on the 20 toughest bulls to find out who is No. 1. Even though bull riding offers non-stop action, the showdown will also present a concert and a tailgate. The Bud Light Bullpen Concert will feature country music by Montgomery Gentry, Jerrod Niemann and Maggie Rose. Grab cowboy hat, wrangle up a group of friends and head on over to the Scottsdale Showdown.

Oct 19-20: Arizona Taco Festival

A two-day extravaganza that is centered around 30+ taco teams who are battling it out to find out who makes the best chicken, beef, pork and seafood tacos. Five other awards will also be handed out for the best salsa, guacamole, veggie taco, anything goes taco and booth design. Taco lovers will also be able to watch Lucha Libre Wrestling matches, and enjoy live music all weekend long while they enjoy $2 tacos. If attendees feel like competing themselves, they can enter a hot chile pepper eating contest or an arm wrestling competition. The Taco Festival has other events planned that you won’t want to miss so make sure to fit the Arizona Taco Festival into your schedule this weekend.
