The weekend-long party in the grass, McDowell Mountain Music Festival, came to a close, Sunday, after famed acts such as Beck, Kid Cudi, The Avett Brothers and many other bands rocked the stage.

Wespac Construction put on its 13th Annual Festival in Margaret T. Hance Park from March 11 to 13 where all proceeds benefitted the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the UMOM New Day Center.

The festival also has a zero waste initiative where fans were handed recyclable cups for their beers, and there were recycling and compost stations set up through out the festival grounds.

On Friday evening hundreds of music fans gathered at the park, bringing lawn chairs, blankets and of course a good time to the park as they listened and danced to the music.

It was truly a party as the crowd gathered, and hung out through the evening listening to CooBee Coo, Captain Squeegee, MS MR, Animal Collective and Beck on the main stage. People danced and cheered as the main acts played a rocking show.

The day started earlier on Saturday as Harper & The Moths, The Haymarket Squares, Luna Aura, Bloc Party, GRiZ, Porter Robinson Live and Kid Cudi played on the main stage.

Sunday was another fun filled day for fans who were able to see Gus Campbell, The Senators, Kaleo, Bird Dog, The Oh Hellos, Gary Clark Jr. and the Avett Brothers play on the main stage.

With the weekend over, and the festival having come to a successful end, folks will have to wait until next year for another great music festival to take place in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
