For the first time in the Arena’s history, the Arena Football League will hold a championship Bowl Game at AEG Facilities’ Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ.  The five-time ArenaBowl Champion Arizona Rattlers will host the Philadelphia Soul in the AFL ArenaBowl on Friday, August 26 at 4:00PM PDT at Gila River Arena. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

The Rattlers defeated the Cleveland Gladiators 82-41 Saturday, August 13 claiming the National Conference title for the fifth time in six years. This will be the team’s 10th ArenaBowl appearance overall.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to host the Rattlers in their bid for another ArenaBowl Championship,” says Dale Adams, General Manager of Gila River Arena.  “The Gila River Arena and surrounding entertainment facilities will make for a great backdrop to the Championship Game.”
