It’s time to get outside and enjoy the cooler weather. CityScape Phoenix is introducing a new monthly outdoor movie series, City Lights Movie Nights, in partnership with Downtown Phoenix Inc.

On the second Thursday of every month (and one special Friday) guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs to watch a feature film on the big screen at the outdoor movie theater with showings including Ghostbusters, short films from local filmmakers, Elf and Home Alone II.

Close to 1,200 guests are expected at this free, family friendly event with giveaways, special-themed contests and prizes.

Details:

  • City Lights Movie Nights at CityScape Phoenix
  • Friday, Oct. 9, Thursday, Nov. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 10.
  • 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. – Movie begins at 7:30 p.m.
  • October 9: The event will close down Central Ave. where turf will line the street. In partnership with Arizona Ghostbusters, there will be a special screening of Ghostbusters and photo opportunities with the Ghostbuster characters and vehicles. Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from the movie, with prizes for best dressed.
  • November 12: Short films by local filmmakers in Patriots Park.
  • December 10: Double screening of Home Alone II and Elf in Patriots Park and photo opportunities with characters from Elf.
  • Board games will be setup including Operation, Jenga, Twister, Battleship, Chutes & Ladders, etc.
  • Themed prize giveaways and contests at each event.
  • Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs/blankets.
  • Free and open to the public.
