The anticipated re-grand opening of Pedal Haus Brewery in downtown Tempe, the resident brewpub and beer garden on Mill Ave., is scheduled on Nov. 3. After an expansive remodel, Julian Wright of Fork & Dagger Inc., 2016 Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame Restaurateur of the Year award winner and creative visionary behind Tempe concepts such as La Bocca Pizzeria, Modern Margarita and The Handlebar has re-envisioned Pedal Haus Brewery, a thoughtfully-designed beer destination. The renovations include beer and bike amusement with an expanded brewery and event capacity, enhanced patio and beer garden and refreshed contemporary menu. The grand opening celebration will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.

“We are excited to introduce a thoughtful selection of creative brews and beer community space that exudes the passion of local craft beer culture and a phenomenal dining and drinking experience that will appeal to crowds of all ages,” said owner and founder of Pedal Haus Brewery, Julian Wright.

The purpose of the remodel was to create a more beer-centric establishment that will introduce a new expanded line-up of 14 staple and seasonal craft brews on tap created by In-haus brewer, Derek “Doc” Osborne such as a Barrel Aged Belgian-style Quad, Pear Saison, Pumpkin Ale, and American Heritage Lager. Pedal Haus will add brewery tours, a few more 30-barrel fermenters, growing its beer capacity to 7,700 kegs annually while increasing production and distribution of Pedal Haus beer outside of the Tempe market.

Executive Chef Dennis Martinez, former executive chef of SanTan Brewing Company and Prescott Brewing Company, will lead the culinary direction of Pedal Haus Brewery with new starters, salads, flatbreads, and gastropub entrees such as chili lime butter and Sriracha popcorn, beer can chicken sandwich and chili chicken verde. The menu will combine local ingredients and house made sourdough with spent grain for flatbreads. A variety of flatbreads include prosciutto fig, sausage and sage, and Sow Haus, made with Mt. Farm’s ham, grilled pineapple, mozzarella and sweet onion. The brewpub will reopen with lunch, happy hour and dinner as well as game days for college football, NFL, NCAA and NBA.

New to the establishment will be private rooms for conferences, a pub-like lounge area, large dining room, chef’s counter with an open window into the kitchen, brewery, redesigned beer garden with an area for traditional yard games and live entertainment, an indoor and outdoor brew bar, communal bungalows with private fire pits, televisions and sound systems, and a beer silo with seating underneath.

Pedal Haus Brewery is located at 730 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, and will re-open seven days a week. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to midnight on Sunday.
