Flower Child, Sam Fox’s rapidly growing healthy fast-casual restaurant opened its third Valley location today at Camelback Road and Central Avenue in the Uptown Plaza shopping center. The newest Flower Child is one of the first businesses to open in the iconic, mid-century shopping center, which is undergoing a highly-anticipated revitalization. The one-of-a-kind restaurant will be a refreshing addition to a booming area surrounded by historic neighborhoods such as the widely-known Windsor Square.

Housed in one of the oldest buildings in central Phoenix – and in a bright and modern 3,800-square-foot space – the eatery has the energy of a buzzing famer’s marketplace with an expo kitchen where guests will see chefs preparing each meal to-order. For diners on-the-go, there is a convenient pick-up area for takeout orders and a fully stocked grab-and-go refrigerator. Hand painted artwork is found throughout the restaurant, and a 1,115-square-foot, covered patio wraps around the exterior, providing a charming and comfortable space where guests can enjoy their house-made lemonade and tea with a meal.

Flower Child Uptown will serve guests with a wide selection of healthy options for lunch and dinner, with an emphasis on gluten-lite items. The heart of the menu is the “build-your-own plate”, where guests can mix and match nearly 300 different combinations of seasonal vegetables, fruits, and grains with or without their favorite protein.  The menu also includes gluten-free desserts, shareable starters, hearty salads, whole grain wraps and bowls. In early 2016 – and for the first time – the restaurant, at this location only, will be open for breakfast, offering a variety of options such as coffee, breakfast wraps and bowls, seasonal scrambles and more.

“There’s a need for clean and healthy food out there, and it can be hard to come by in a quick, casual setting – that’s why we are so excited to bring Flower Child to this central Phoenix neighborhood” said founder Sam Fox. “Providing our communities with a convenient way to eat without having to sacrifice values for flavors is one of the main reasons we keep growing Flower Child.”

Flower Child believes healthy food makes happy people. Each dish is made from scratch with quality ingredients that are always wholesome and clean. The organic produce used is guided by the Environmental Working Group’s list of essential organic produce while proteins are naturally raised without additives. That means 100-percent grass-fed beef, anti-biotic free chicken, sustainably raised salmon, and organic, nonGMO tofu. The menu offers many options for vegans and vegetarians or those with a gluten-free diet. In fact, every dessert offered at Flower Child is gluten free. At Flower Child guests know exactly what is in their food and where it came from.

Flower Child is located at 100 E. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix and open Monday – Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
