This March Sonata’s Restaurant in Scottsdale, debuts Russian Nights that are sure to be unlike any nightlife locals have experienced in the valley. Beginning at 9:00 p.m. on March 11 and occurring every first Saturday of the month following, the Eastern European restaurant will transform into an authentic Russian party.

Owner Sonata Molocajeviene Tuft, COO and Chief Designer Deividas Molocajevas, and restaurant partners Laura and Andrew Bucas, all hail from Eastern Europe and have rich ties to, and fond memories of, Russian-style celebrating. They wanted to bring this relaxed and unpretentious way of letting loose to Scottsdale.

“As natives of Eastern Europe, we want to introduce locals to some of the traditions we grew up with,” says Deividas. “With authentic Russian culture, food and drinks, Russian Nights at Sonata’s will give our guests a taste of the way Europeans celebrate and party. It’s less formal than Americans may be used to. We want people to just relax and have fun here.”

Russian Nights begin with bottle service, where guests can choose from a variety of Russian vodkas.  A rotating menu will include Russian specialties like crepes and caviar, sweet and savory pierogies, smoked sardines, herring in a blanket salad, herring and hot potatoes, and lite bites such as anchovies, smoked bacon and more. Entertainment will also be different during each Russian Night event at Sonata’s, with live Russian bands and performers such as the Flying Balalaika Brothers and Daniko Yusupov that are hugely popular with the Eastern European communities, dancers and DJ’s spinning popular Russian tunes and more.

Bottle service begins at $200, and customized Russian Night party packages for groups of six or more range from $49 to $149 per person. Russian Night menu items can be purchased individually as well. For reservations call 480-477-1390, or visit the website at http://www.sonatasrestaurant.com.
