Female poker pros and amateurs can showcase their poker faces, skills and technique during Talking Stick Resort’s 10th annual Arizona State Ladies’ Poker Championship. The two-day No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament will begin on Sept. 19 in The ARENA Poker Room. More than 200 players will take part in the showdown, competing for a share of the $40,000+ prize pool. The winner will be crowned on Sept. 20.

“Poker is appealing because it’s truly anyone’s game,” said Tom Young, director of poker for Talking Stick Resort. “Our attendance for the Arizona State Ladies’ Poker Championship grows annually as more and more women are engaging in the pastime. We look forward to this year’s event and predict many surprising twists and poker plays.”

The tournament will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.  Players will enter the competition with $12,000 in tournament chips courtesy of a $300 buy-in. Participants can purchase $5,000 in additional chips for a $20 bonus. There is a limit of one bonus per player. Finals will start at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20. In addition to bragging rights, the first place winner will take home a cash prize as well as Rolex watch.
