As the The Hermosa Inn celebrates its 80th Anniversary, and prepares for a major expansion, the Inn has something else to boast about. Hermosa Inn received the AAA Four Diamond resort  accolade– a title given to only 5.7% of the nearly 28,000 hotels Approved and Diamond Rated by AAA.

“This comes at a very exciting time as we continue celebrating our 80th Anniversary as a guest ranch and are preparing to unveil one of the biggest expansions in our history,” said Managing Director Stephen Ast.

The resort’s upgraded Four Diamond status was based on completion of the first phase of renovation, which was unveiled earlier this year and included an enhanced arrival experience featuring a new resort entrance with a roundabout, stone fountain, the addition of an expansive resort lobby and a renovation to the Inn’s original casitas.

The second phase of renovation, scheduled for completion in late 2016, will include additional guest rooms, bringing the intimate resort to 43 casitas, new meeting space, an expansion to its casual dining venue LON’s Last Drop, a new citrus garden to complement the garden-to-table philosophies at the Inn’s culinary centerpiece LON’s at the Hermosa – one of the few AAA Four Diamond restaurants in the greater Phoenix area – and a number of other guest amenities, such as lawn games throughout the grounds and additional bikes for guests to explore the surrounding area.
