In celebration of Military Appreciation Month, Westgate Entertainment District will host “Donate & Skate” and a Veteran’s Car Show on May 16.
Hundreds of people are expected at both events, which are open to the public, and proceeds will go to support military support organizations including Wounded Warrior Project of AZ and Vietnam Veterans of Arizona.
Event details include:
Donate & Skate at Westgate Entertainment District
- Saturday, May 16 from Noon until 8:00pm.
- Roller-skating will be located in Fountain Park.
- A minimum donation of $2 is recommended.
- Receive a free gift for donations of $5.
- Portion of proceeds will support local military support organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project of AZ.
- Open to ages 6 and up.
- Skates and equipment provided – Skaters must bring socks.

Veteran’s Car Show at Westgate Entertainment District
- Saturday, May 16 from 9:00am until 2:00pm.
- Located at Parking Lot 1 North of AMC Theaters.
- Classic car show to benefit the Vietnam Veterans of Arizona
- Hundreds of classic cars.
- Enjoy live entertainment with bagpipes, DJ beats and the color guard.
- Awards, dash plaques and goody bags will be given for entrants, along with special recognition for veteran car owners.
- Johnny Rockets will open early for breakfast starting at 7am and will offer all veteran’s 20 percent off all day.
