The second season of “Arizona Collectibles” on Eight, Arizona PBS showcases antiques and historical artifacts hidden throughout Arizona, including a painting worth nearly $1 million.

Hosted by Beth McDonald, radio personality for Phoenix-based 99.9 FM KEZ and owner o, the program will return for another 13-episode season on Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. on Eight HD. Season two features a variety of precious items and family heirlooms that shine a light on history in Arizona and beyond. History buffs will be treated to a wide selection of items including a pardon signed by Abraham Lincoln, a Navajo blanket from the late 1800s, a Civil War amputation kit and a Bible from 1509.

“I’m so excited to be part of season two of ‘Arizona Collectibles,’” said McDonald. “I’ve heard from viewers of the show who really enjoyed the inaugural season.  We have some great surprises coming up for ‘Arizona Collectibles’ fans and I think it’s safe to say that they’ll be in awe of some of the truly remarkable finds on the show.  It’s been so much fun to work with the great people at Arizona PBS and be a part of this fascinating program.”

Professional appraisers discuss the history and current value of a wide range of items. Viewers will have the opportunity to witness the priceless reactions of owners as they discover how much their possessions are worth.  Experience the reaction of one local couple when they learn that the painting they inherited is the work of esteemed artist Charlie Russell, and is worth nearly $1 million.

In addition to historical treasures, this season features a collection of items reminiscent of popular culture throughout the 20th century. Take a closer look at a signed baseball from legendary ballplayer Babe Ruth, a vintage card collection featuring athletes from various sports, and a collection of memorabilia from Paramount Pictures including autographed photos of Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne.

Those fascinated with history outside of the U.S. can enjoy a Chinese robe thought to have originated during the late Qing Dynasty, a collection of German military badges from WWII and much more.
