Autumn will bring fresh changes to Scottsdale’s legendary Waldorf Astoria Spa at The Boulders. The world-class spa is completing a series of refurbishments just in time to introduce its new fall menu of services, which will focus on healing and renewing skin damaged by the summer sun. Physical changes to the spa include renovations to the adults-only swimming pool, Watsu pool, and couples massage suites, and the debut of an exclusive Aroma Blend Bar.

Autumn Spa Menu Highlights

The autumn spa menu will introduce the Radiant Oasis Experiences, which employ locally harvested avocado, citrus and prickly pear cactus in a selection of treatments designed to regenerate and hydrate the body and renew the soul. Among these is the new Desert Rose Radiance service, which begins with an exfoliation of jojoba and desert rose and is followed by a soothing aloe mask – particularly beneficial for sun damaged skin. While wrapped in a soft cocoon, the spa-goer is then treated to a naturally lifting facial massage with prickly pear and pomegranate. The treatment finishes with a hydrating massage using the Waldorf Astoria Spa’s signature Desert Rose body lotion with a scent characterized as refreshing and uplifting.

For the sun damaged face, the spa’s revolutionary HydraFacial™ is a resurfacing treatment that includes a Vortex-Fusion® of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The HydraFacial™ is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort or downtime. The results are immediately visible and amazingly dramatic.
“Fall Back to Beauty” value-added deals include:

· When guests purchase a series of (3) Hydrafacials they will receive a complimentary skin care kit. The cost is $525 for full series (the Skin Care kit valued $150).
· When booking a Desert Rose Radiance service, guests receive a complimentary Citrus and Desert Rose Body lotion. The cost of the service is $215 (the lotion is valued at $28.)

New Aroma Blend Bar: Described as “High Tech meets High Touch,” this innovative web-based Intentional Aromatherapy session guides spa-goers through a series of choices based on their needs and desires; ultimately arriving at a completely custom-blended “aromatherapy of intention” in the form of a body cream or lotion. The Waldorf Astoria Spa at The Boulders is the first to offer this service, working in tandem with Body Bliss, a Sedona Arizona-based company.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa Café plans a healthy fall menu inspired by the autumn harvest of the 5,600 sq. ft. Organic Garden. Some of the delicious, fresh fare includes a Portobello Vegetable Wrap with arugula, tomatoes and avocado or the Red and Golden Beet Salad. Guests dining at the Spa Café will also be treated to a new misting system to enjoy the outdoors and stunning backdrop all year long.
