In Colorado AvidGolfer’s recent 2015 CAGGY Awards lauding the nation’s top golf destinations, the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center was recognized as a “Best Phoenix/Scottsdale Stay & Play” by the publication’s readers along with the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon and The Boulders.

An enterprise of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the property was rebranded last October as an independent golf resort to strengthen its synergistic relationship with nearby We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. Honored as one of the best golf facilities in the country by Golfweek and others, the golf club features two award-winning 18-hole courses designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw (Saguaro) and Scott Miller (Cholla).

“Over the past six months, we’ve strategically aligned ourselves even more with We-Ko-Pa Golf Club to offer our guests luxurious accommodations along with exceptional golf,” said Craig Benell, acting general manager of the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center. “Our stay-and-play packages offer visitors the best of both worlds by giving them the opportunity to play the nationally acclaimed Saguaro and Cholla courses plus experience our resort’s lavish amenities and delicious cuisine.  We’re thrilled that Colorado AvidGolfer readers have  recognized this as well.”

Published eight times a year, Colorado AvidGolfer is the state’s leading resource for golf and the lifestyle that surrounds it.
